Hello! :)

My name is Iris Mishly and i am a polymer clay artist from Israel.

After 15 years as a web designer, the coincidence led me to discover polymer clay in November 2004, I took 1 lesson, and i knew it was different from anything I'd ever done before. Fascinated with the magical world of color and form, transparency and opaque, I was instantly hooked. i am a mix-media artist, i like to combine materials together and my designes are mostly accessories and jewelry.

I am continuously working and thinking of new ideas of using the polymer clay, and using the millefiori technique which is the most colorful, enjoying and has the endless possibilities for my art.

On May 2009 i was invited to teach 60 women (and men) from the European polymer clay community in an event called "Polymer Play Days" organized by Ms. Helen Cox. It was an amazing experience which proved me that the desire to know and learn is endless.

I am the founder of
PolyPediaOnline which was established to allow artists and hobbiests from all over the world to learn from my personal knowledge and unique polymer clay techniques without getting up from their chair: polymer clay tutorials and videos are the main focus of PolyPediaOnline site.

You can join my mailing list for newsletter on special events, discounts, tips, freebies, and lot's of polymer clay information.

I am teaching adults and children, which find this exciting medium very relaxing and love their new hobby.

In the same way i am teaching others, i am constantly learning from the top artists such as: Donna Kato, Nan Roche, Julie Picarello, Sarah Shriver, Christie Friesen, Dan Cormier, Marie Segal and more.

I am inspired by the colorful rainbow (and that is the reason I called my business name ARCOIRIS – in Spanish "rainbow"), I love the basic colors and use them a lot in my beads, hamsas, jewelry and accessories.

I am always exploring new methods of work and the internet is my best friend for that matter, I write a column in an Israeli polymer clay forum, this column is for all polymer clay hobbyists (starters and advanced). I introduce new techniques, new artists, an interesting piece of art or just plain inspiration. All these links are gathered in an internet blog:
